In this renovated 18th century farmhouse, daily life of the peasants on the Causse Méjean is restored through the 1950s (furniture, linen, crockery, tools and agricultural machinery). It also includes the architecture of traditional buildings and outbuildings (barn, bread oven, stable).

Visitors enter the cave by a 200-meter long gallery and a funicular that leads 50 meters underground to a huge room, very impressive! The large stalagmite reaches nearly 30 meters in height, a world record.

The "Takh, for the Przewalski Horse" association works for the preservation of this species. Of Mongolian origin, the Przewalski breed has always lived in the wild and were threatened with extinction. Eleven horses were reintroduced on the plateau in 1993. Since then, many horses were sent to Mongolia, the land of their ancestors. The village of Le Villaret is also renowned for its limestone architecture, typical of the plateaus.

L’Espérou (30570)
The transhumance draille of the Luzette crosses the village. About 10,000 sheep perform the transhumance each year on the Aigoual mountain, and half cross through toward the Espérou mid-June. The sheep are then adorned with pompoms and collars. There are many marked trails in the vicinity of the Espérou, visitors should inquire at the Maison de l’Aigoual.
